Who we are

Who we are

The Kirtland Spouses' Club is a friendly community of spouses stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base with an established tradition of fellowship and philanthropy dating back to the 1950’s.

Our organization strives to strengthen spouse connections through organized social events and charitable service.

The Kirtland Spouses' Club is a dynamic and resilient organization that continues to redefine itself to meet the needs of today's military spouses.

Our membership reflects the diverse, talented, generous and friendly military spouses that support Team Kirtland's personnel.  We welcome spouses of all ranks, active and retired, Guard and Reserves, DoD and DoE, men and women!

What we do

Who we are

Who we are

The Kirtland Spouses' Club is a volunteer, private organization committed to promoting a sense of community, support, and purpose for military spouses.

We host organized monthly social events to foster connections and fellowship

We facilitate a wide variety of mini clubs to connect people with like-minded interests: Book Club, Let's Eat Lunch Club, Craft Club, Hiking Club, Bowling Club, and more!

We endeavor to make a positive impact across Team Kirtland and Albuquerque through the Holiday Airman Cookie Drive, AFRF Canned Food Drive, and other community outreach programs.

We oversee the Thrift Shop which is a fun place to shop for great deals, donate, consign and volunteer.

We organize an annual Vendor Fair to give home based businesses an opportunity to connect with new customers.

Proceeds from the Thrift Shop benefit welfare grants and scholarships for military spouses, graduating high school seniors, and military dependent college students.

We manage Operation Ball Gown to offer a wide variety of dresses for formal events such as the Air Force Ball, Airman Leadership School Graduations, PJ Graduations, Chief Induction Ceremonies, or even prom or a cruise vacation.  A wide variety of sizes and styles are available.  Dresses may be borrowed for free and the only expense is returning them dry cleaned.

Membership

Who we are

Membership

Military life can be hard and sometimes lonely,

the Kirtland Spouses' Club wants to be a positive and uplifting part of your time at Kirtland.

Membership fees for the 20/21 board year are $20.

For the 20/21 board year, we are offering a

low-cost $5 membership fee for spouses

of Team Kirtland's E1-E3 Airmen.

Why do members have to pay dues?  The Club has a variety of operational expenses (i.e. insurance, PO Box rental, website fee, nametags, cleaning supplies) and members must contribute the majority of club's income to maintain a non-profit status.  However, each $1 of dues allows the club to fundraise an additional $0.53 that is used to offset the cost of hosting monthly social events and door prizes.
