JOIN THE KSC BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide support and guidance to each member of the Board of Governors
• Maintain a working knowledge of all KSC Activities
• Cultivate organizational vision, ensures executive function, and exemplifies the spirit of KSC's philanthropic objectives

*Approximate volunteer hours per month: 10*

**Support and training is provided**

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Attends monthly board / membership meetings
• Ensures procedural guidelines are followed for all matters requiring a vote
• Maintains a working knowledge of the KSC Constitution and Bylaws
•  Helps to ensure that the KSC is compliant with AFI 34-223 

*Approximate Time Commitment: 4-6 hours / month*

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Attends monthly board meetings
• Serves on and records minutes for the KSC Boards and the Thrift Shop council (2-3 meetings/month)
• Distributes minutes
• Maintains records the for KSC 

*Approximate Time Commitment: 10 hours / month*

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings
• Coordinates events which promote interactions between the KSC and the base community: Bootastic, Holiday Vendor Fair, KSC-AFRF Canned Food Drive, and KSC Holiday Dorm Decorations   

*Approximate Time Commitment: 6-10 hours / month*

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings
• Maintain accurate accounting and labeling of inventory
• Maintain / improve OBG room decor, layout, clothing racks, dressing rooms, etc.
• Acquire dresses to increase inventory size and diversity
• Set hours of operation and be available for appointments
• Manage closed Facebook group for OBG

*Approximate Time Commitment: 6-8 hours / month*

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings
• Acts as goodwill ambassador for the KSC
• Attends base agency meetings and private org meetings to promote KSC: AFRF Heart Link meetings, table at Newcomers, IDS council, and more
• Supplies KSC brochures and flyers to the AFRF

*Approximate Time Commitment: 6-10 hours / month*

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings
• Assists VP Welfare in the planning and organization of events
• Assists with the promotion of community events
• Assists with recruitment of KSC volunteers for events

*Approximate Time Commitment: 6-8 hours / month*

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

•  Attends monthly board meetings 
• Chairs the annual scholarship committee 
• Directs all aspects of the KSC Scholarship Program: application distribution, initial review, secure panel of judges, coordination/ distribution of award packages, plan / executive scholarship banquet  

*Approximate Time Commitment: 6-10 hours / month*

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings
• Creates an Events Team (if desired)
• Plans and executes the monthly membership events (selects theme, activities, door prizes, food, and coordinates clean-up)
• Ensures events are well-advertised

*Approximate Time Commitment: 10 hours / month*

**Support and training is provided**

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings
• Monitors mini-clubs and reports club activity
• Corresponds with mini-club participation 
• Maintains admin status on all mini-club Facebook groups

*Approximate Time Commitment: 4-6 hours / month*

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings 
• Drives membership growth via publicity, outreach, social media, etc.
• Greets new members monthly
• Tracks & maintains membership database
• Invites all members, via email, to all KSC events

*Approximate Time Commitment: 6 hours / month*

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings 
• Publicizes all KSC events
• Serves as an admin on the KSC Facebook page and Instagram account 
• Creates / reviews / updates KSC brochures

*Approximate Time Commitment: 5 hours / month*

**Support and training is provided**

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings 
• Monitors & regularly updates the KSC website 
• Assists with social media engagement for the KSC

*Approximate Time Commitment: 4 hours / month*

**Support and training is provided**

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

•  Attends monthly board meetings 
• Attends and photographs KSC membership & special events 
• Coordinates with Publicity Chair to share photos via social media 
• Creates an annual digital / Shutterfly album

*Approximate Time Commitment: 5 hours / month*

The following Advisors are needed:

• SMC Advisor
• 377th ABQ Advisor 
• Senior Mentor, AFNWC 
• Chief Spouse Advisor

Job Duties include but are not limited to: 

• Attends monthly board meetings 
• Foster a positive atmosphere of cooperation among board members 
• Help facilitate meetings / introductions between KSC and other private orgs and base agencies  
• Provide input during board discussions that ensure the board has considered all reasonable and responsible options
• Ensure compliance documents required by FSS are completed
• Ensure all IRS tax filings and State of New Mexico  registrations are completed
